Burglaries

There were 3 reported burglaries in the month of September

Greenbridge Lane, Greenfield – offender/s gain access to the side of house from the front path way. Offenders approach side exterior upvc door leading on to kitchen and using bodily pressure; kick the bottom of the door causing damage. Alarm is activated and offenders make off in an unknown direction.

Tenterfield Close, Greenfield – offender/s gain access to rear garden of property by climbing over 6 foot fence. Offender/s then approach rear patio doors and by unknown means cause damage to rear door by snapping the locking barrel, offender/s are then disturbed by informant and make off in unknown direction; no entry gained.

Lower Frenches Drive – unknown offender(s) approach locked and secured back door from an unknown direction and force the lock using unknown implement gaining entry into kitchen. Offender/s open alarm cupboard and cause damage to the alarm box/control unit. Offenders search all rooms of the address stealing items, then exit via entry point and make off in an unknown direction.

Criminal Damage

There were 4 reported incidents

Holmfirth Road (A635), Greenfield – unknown offender/s enter derelict mill complex and use unknown objects to damage 14 x 4ftx2ft ground and first floor windows of derelict mill no attempt to gain entry.

Pickhill Lane, Uppermill – unknown offenders use a sharp instrument to scratch nearside of vehicle down to metal work causing damage. The vehicle was secure and unattended on street at the time, offenders made off unseen in an unknown direction.

Allotments, Station Lane, Greenfield – 2 x unknown youths approach secluded allotment from bridal path and using missiles to cause damage to the outer pane of a side double glazed unit situated on the potting shed. Informant hears damage being caused and approaches males who both turn and run away in unknown direction.

Halls Way Greenfield – the offender being the owner of a vehicle to which a clamp had been affixed by the informant in his role as a bailiff has utilised unknown means to cut away said clamp and then contacted the victim and informed him of his actions (leaving clamp at the scene) – the clamp was later recovered by the victim.

Theft from Motor Vehicle

There were 5 reported incidents in the month of September

Platting Road, Lydgate – council vehicle is parked up secure whilst council employees are working nearby – on return employees discover nearside rear window smashed & property stolen from within.

Chew Valley Road, Greenfield – unknown offender/s approach parked secure unattended motor vehicle on residential street.

By unknown means the offender/s remove both windscreen wipers to front windows and make off in direction unknown.

Manchester Road (A635), Greenfield – unknown offender approaches parked locked and secured motor vehicle and smashes the driver’s window, searches inside vehicle and removes a satnav from glove box. Offender then makes off in unknown direction.

Gladstone Terrace Road, Greenfield – unknown offender/s approach motor vehicle left insecure and enter the vehicle and make untidy search of interior stealing items from within. Offenders then exit as entry and make off in unknown direction.

Yeoman Hey Reservoir, Holmfirth Road – offenders force the front nearside door lock on vehicle which was parked secured and unattended in lay-by. Once offenders are inside the vehicle they search around and steal a handbag and contents out of boot. Offenders then make off unseen.

Theft of motor vehicle

There were no reports of theft from motor vehicles in the month of September.

Drug Offence

There was 1 report of drug related offences.

Holmfirth Road, Greenfield – offender was stopped in vehicle for unrelated matter. Officers noticed a strong smell of cannabis in vehicle so the vehicle is searched. A small amount of cannabis was recovered from glove compartment.

Anti-Social Behaviour

There were 12 reported incidents of rowdy or inconsiderate behaviour.

There were 8 reported incidents of alcohol related matters.

There were 7 reported incidents concerning youths under 18yrs.
