The Diggle Primary School Parent and Teacher’s Association has organised another successful event.

Jo Taylor from the PTA writes,

“Diggle School PTA held a wine, cheese and jewellery night on Monday 22nd November 2011.  Wino’s, a family business from Oldham brought five wines to sample (two white wines, one Rose and two red wines) and gave some facts about each of them.  The guests at the event were given an opportunity to list the flavours they could taste. They were then asked to guess the price of each bottle. Later in the evening cheese and biscuits were provided and the guests were given an opportunity to try even more wines.”

“In addition to the wine tasting, there was an opportunity to buy fashion accessories. There was a selection of jewellery & scarves which were beautiful and very reasonably priced.  Anna Barnes and Claire Butterworth organized the event. They commented that, ‘All in all, it was a great evening and we raised just over £100 for Diggle PTA.”

Wino’s have two shops, one in Oldham on George Street and a new one in Uppermill called The Vault.
