Burglaries

Belmont Ave, Springhead and Heywood Ave, Springhead. Both were daytime breaks and offenders gained entry through prising patio doors open.

Burglary Other

Huddersfield Road, Austerlands, where electrical equipment was stolen from a property under renovation; Woodbrook Ave, Austerlands, where gym equipment was stolen from a garage and Rumbles Lane, Delph, where plant equipment taken from insecure container.

Vehicle crime

Brownhill Drive,  Austerland – a moped was stolen.

Criminal Damage

Denshaw – window smashed at public house.

Denshaw – temporary traffic lights damaged.

Delph – window smashed on passing bus.

Delph – mini digger damaged.

Diggle – damage to external pipe by local youths.

Dobcross – animal shot at with pellet gun resulting in injury.

Anti Social Behaviour

Diggle remains a hot spot area for youths causing annoyance especially around Wrigley Mill, Warth Mill  and the bowling green . These same youths are also beginning to congregate at the BrownHill Visitors Centre.

Good News

The Neighbourhood Officers received a “ Good Work Minute “ from the Chief Superintendent Tim Forber for going to extraordinary lengths to protect and support vulnerable adults in the community.

Other News

The Saddleworth area has been having a spate of thefts of number plates and police think they are being used in ‘drive-offs’ at petrol stations. GMP are going to be holding an ‘anti-tamper’ proof number plate initiative in the area. Dates are still to be arranged.
