It’s time to nominate your Diggle Heroes. Over recent years the Diggle Community Association has been awarding the title Diggle Hero to members of the community who have made a significant contribution to the village.
If you know someone who deserves recognition then I would ask you to spend a few minutes nominating them. Anyone can be a hero and age is no barrier.
Nominations have to be in by 30th November 2012. Forms are available at Diggle Post Office or, if you prefer, you can submit an on-line application at www.digglevillage.org.uk.
It’s important to recognise the achievements and contributions of the unsung heroes of Diggle so, please rack your brains and get your nomination in.
Last years nominees were:
Ben Proctor – Swam for Team GB at the 2012 Para Olympics Games
Jessica Lloyd – Swam for Team GB at the 2012 Olympic Games
Thomas Robinson – raised money for charity by running 10k for 100 days consecutively.
Maurice Brayford – nominated for his dedication to caring for Shaw’s Clock.
Kathleen Lambert – nominated for her charity work and for supporting many village events, fetes and coffee mornings with her wonderful baking.
