A man has died following a collision on a country road in Lydgate, Oldham.
At about 4.40pm on Friday, 7 December 2012, the elderly man was walking with friends along Platting Road when he was in collision with a Nissan X Trail being driven by a woman.
The pedestrian suffered serious injuries in the collision and was taken to hospital where he later died.
No-one else was injured in the collision.
The road remains closed while an investigation is carried out by GMPs Serious Collision Reconstruction Unit.
