A series of concerts are being planned to breath new life into Diggle Band Club!

Fresh from their triumphant headlining gig at Diggle Band Club on September 22nd, Hebden Bridge’s finest ska band, Owter Zeds, will return on Saturday 27th October. The gig, which falls on Halloween, promises everyone an exciting and “ska-rry” evening.

The doors open at 7pm. Tickets cost £5 (which includes hot food) and can can be purchased at the band club. For more information, call Carolyn on 01457 874792.

Owter Zeds play all original material and have appeared at many events across the north of England and beyond. Every year they tour the Poitou-Charente region of France during the summer.

Based in Hebden Bridge , West Yorkshire, the Zeds play music that sounds familiar, but isn’t quite like anyone else you’ve heard. Go and see them and you’ll realise why they are so popular!

Our Band Club is a great community resource

Local resident, Tom Robinson said, “Diggle Band Club has featured in the local press recently, highlighting the worrying prospect that the community may lose this venue, if it fails to establish a regular income.

“Social clubs across the district are in a similar position and are exploring new ways to get people through the door. Diggle Band Club has decided to stage regular live music events throughout the year and this in addition to the fabulous traditional brass concerts will make the club a centre for quality music.

“Diggle Band Club is a fabulous resource and is in a great position to become, alongside Kilngreen Church, one of Diggle’s premier community hubs.”

The building can be hired free of charge for events, functions and private parties. The club has a large main room, 2 smaller rooms and a fully functioning kitchen. There is a licensed bar, a play area for children and ample car parking space.
