Described as the Greatest Free Show on Earth, organisers of Uppermill’s Whit Friday band contest are looking for volunteers to help run the competition.
One of the committee members, John Broadbent said “The committee members are all pensioners – we’re looking for some younger people to help us”
Kath Airey has asked if volunteers are able to help with the following:
Thursday:
Moving equipment from Kirkham’s to the Park storage
Putting out signs
Friday after the Service:
Moving equipment from storage and set up
Friday 4pm onwards
Collecting, delivering and returning music from the bands
Selling Programmes
Ring Stewarding
Friday After the Contest
Moving equipment to Park storage
Tidying up
Saturday
Moving equipment from the Park storage to Kirkham’s
