Over the last twenty-four hours wind and rain have caused considerable damage to trees and property in Saddleworth.
A metal roof was blown off a building in Diggle completely blocking access to houses near Carr Lane and a large tree fell in Uppermill damaging several cars on Water Gate near Moorgate Street.
The Met Office are forecasting the weather to improve over the next few days as winds speeds decrease and temperatures to rise to seasonal norms.
