A group of 16 Saddleworth men took to the hills on Saturday 10th September to raise money in the fight against prostate cancer. The group walked over 12 miles across the Saddleworth moors and between them raised over £1,300.
The group ‘Men Unite’ is made up of Christian men from churches around the area. Tim Cooke, from the group said, “We meet every month over a cooked breakfast to support and encourage each other. During one of our meets we came up with the idea to complete a charity walk.
“It was great fun and we hope our efforts have made a positive contribution to the fight against cancer.”
